Strengthening CCB’s Future: A Visit by USM Top Management

On 6 March 2026 (Friday), the Centre for Chemical Biology (CCB), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation led by Associate Professor Dr. Rashidah Abdul Rahim, Director of CCB, together with all CCB staff. The visit was graced by Profesor Dr. Habibah binti A. Wahab and Profesor Sr. Dr. Mastura binti Jaafar @ Mustapha, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (TNC) of USM, while Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohamed Isa Abdul Majid joined the session virtually via Webex.

The purpose of the visit was to provide constructive insights and strategic ideas to further strengthen CCB’s role in research, innovation, and service excellence. Throughout the session, engaging discussions were held on potential improvements, future directions, and ways to align CCB’s initiatives with the university’s mission and vision.

The visit also served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, where CCB staff had the opportunity to share their ongoing work, achievements, and challenges. The presence and input of the esteemed panel were highly appreciated, as their guidance will play an important role in shaping CCB’s continuous growth and development.

Overall, the visit marked a meaningful step forward in enhancing CCB’s commitment to excellence and its contribution to USM’s broader goals.
