Visit from Chongqing Research Institute of HIT to CCB

On 21 February 2026 (Saturday), the Centre for Chemical Biology (CCB) had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Chongqing Research Institute of HIT for a short visit. The delegation was led by Yang Bing (Deputy Dean) and Dr. Vina Zhang, and was joined by Professor Dr. Habibah Binti A. Wahab, Deputy Vice Chancellor of USM.

The visitors were warmly lead by Associate Professor Dr. Rashidah Abdul Rahim, Director of CCB, together with CCB lecturers Dr. Lau Nyok Sean and Dr. Go Furasawa. They were also supported by CCB staff members Mrs. Noorizan, Miss Atikah, and Mrs. Zinnirah.

During the visit, the delegation was given an overview of CCB’s facilities, ongoing research activities, and key services. This was followed by a guided tour of the laboratories, where the visitors had the opportunity to observe the equipment, research environment, and laboratory operations firsthand. The session provided a valuable platform for academic discussion and knowledge sharing between both parties. It also opened up opportunities to explore future collaborations in research and innovation.

The visit concluded on a positive note, strengthening the relationship between CCB and the Chongqing Research Institute of HIT, and paving the way for potential joint initiatives in the future.
