Shinshu University Delegation Visits Centre for Chemical Biology (CCB), USM

On 7th August 2025, the Centre for Chemical Biology (CCB), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), warmly welcomed a distinguished delegation from Shinshu University, Japan, in a visit led by the Director of CCB, Associate Professor Dr. Rashidah. The programme aimed to strengthen academic collaboration, foster global partnerships, and explore opportunities for joint research and student mobility between the two institutions.
The delegation from Shinshu University was led by Prof. Dr. Soichiro NAKAMURA, President of Shinshu University, accompanied by:

- Prof. Dr. Pang Boey LIM, Special Appointed Vice President (Internationalization)
- Associate Prof. Dr. Mitsuru HAMANO, Center for Global Education and Collaboration

During the visit, the CCB Director led the delegation through a series of activities including a briefing on CCB’s research initiatives, interactive discussions with researchers, and a tour of the centre’s advanced laboratories. Both sides exchanged insights on potential areas of collaboration in chemical biology, biotechnology, and education for sustainable development.
The visit reflects the shared vision of Shinshu University and USM to expand international academic networks, advance scientific innovation, and nurture the next generation of researchers through global cooperation.
