JKP and JKKP Meeting 2025

On 2^nd July 2025, the Centre for Chemical Biology (CCB), USM held a Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (JKKP) & Jawatankuasa Pengurusan (JKP) meeting, followed by a warm and lively June Staff Birthday Celebration. The event saw full participation from all CCB staff, reflecting the centre’s commitment to fostering a safe, informed, and connected workplace.

The session began with the Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (JKKP) presenting the latest edition of the Manual and Procedures for Occupational Safety and Health (KKP). This update emphasized enhanced safety practices, streamlined reporting mechanisms, and newly introduced standard operating procedures aligned with USM’s Occupational Safety Management System.

The Jawatankuasa Pengurusan (JKP) also presented its monitoring updates, including infrastructure inspection outcomes, staff feedback, and proposals for improving facility safety. Constructive discussions were held on how to integrate both JKP and JKKP roles in strengthening a culture of safety across all levels.

Following the meeting, staff gathered in the main hall to celebrate CCB’s June birthday babies. The celebration was filled with laughter, well-wishes, and a delectable spread of food and desserts that added to the cheerful ambiance. It was a delightful way to recognize and appreciate the team’s dedication, while also fostering camaraderie among colleagues.

This combined session of official business and light-hearted celebration showcased CCB’s balance of professionalism and community spirit. The centre continues to prioritize both the safety and well-being of its staff—both in the lab and beyond.
